Radiation screens are finished off in laminated plastic ranging from standard white to a comprehensive and ever-growing choice of vibrant colours. The radiation shielding is achieved from lead-lined materials within the screen that have a much higher tolerance against harmful radiation.

Your local RPA has the responsibility of drawing up a report that outlines the radiation shielding requirements for each element within the room such as the windows and doors as well as the radiation screen. It is important to remember that the walls of the room must take account of low-level radiation travelling through.
