What is it?
This new tool is an online programme which enables international investors to easily connect with an array of businesses across the UK. No matter the industry, potential international investors can now find an expert in their specific field of work and region.
Why has it been launched?
The UK Investment Support Directory is a collection of companies that have skills and experience in helping overseas businesses expand or establish in the UK. The main purpose of the UK business support directory is to encourage investments in the UK and make it more accessible to find information. Generating more foreign direct investment helps the UK grow.
How to use it?
You can easily search the directory to find the right specialist to meet your needs. For example, you will be able to look into different UK regions, visas and immigration, fluency in other languages and tax and employment. Once you’ve found the right specialist, you can contact them through the directory. You will have one free hour of consultation.
The UK Business Support Directory is another way the Department for International Trade is trying to push foreign direct investment. Graham Stuart, Minister of Investment says ‘we hope this new business directory will be an invaluable resource for investors who are thinking of setting up operations here in the UK’.
