Stronghold is a stainless steel handrail system that can use in exterior and interior places such as steps, ramps and pathways to assist pedestrians.
However the Stronghold stainless steel handrail and balustrade is recommended for main staircases balustrades, where a high-end finish is required. This is due to the number of visible joints in the handrail that are kept to a minimum.
The tubular handrail is made from stainless steel and stainless steel fittings from grade of 304 for interior use and grade 316 for exterior use.
The tubular stainless steel handrail is versatile and can be produced in a selection of current fittings including glass, stainless steel or powder-coated rails (further infill options are included below). Once the infill is in place, the final option is the surface finishes, which offers the choice of bright or a fine stain polish finish.

The Stronghold Stainless Steel Handrail from SG
- The handrail offers either a 44mm or 50mm finished diameter fabricated, which forms just one mechanical joint per flight off stairs. All the visible welded joints smoothed and polished.
- The balusters (post) come as standard with a 50mm diameter finish.
- A third specification that the bespoke tubular stainless steel balustrade system offers is a range of infill panels. There is a choice between glass, perforated metal sheets, stainless steel or powder coated mid/running rails or stainless steel wire or to a bespoke design is available to choose from.
- The fitting include a choice of base plates, handrail brackets, glass brackets that are produced in stainless steel.
- There surface finish are available in two options, either a bright or fine stain polish.
- The final specification is the maintenance. Having the Stronghold handrail and balustrade will require minimum or not any maintenance.
