Buying Silver news: Record sales for 2015 coin

US Mint’s 2015 Silver Eagle Coin broke record sales for the third year in a row.

The United States Mint announced for the third year in a row that it’s Silver Eagle Coin had broken it’s total yearly sales. Once again, global demand for the American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins drove sales to a record high of over 47 million ounces, compared to 44m in 2014 and 42.5m in 2013.

Just to add further perspective to this, demand for Bullion 22 years ago when the programme started was typically between 3m ounces and 10 ounces a year. Compared to last year this is a demand increase of over 5 fold.
