Steelway supply MUGA for Broadwindsor Primary School

MUGA at Broadwindsor School

Steelway were successful in securing a partnership working contract with Priestwood Vision for installing a Multu Use Games Area (MUGA) at Broadwindsor School. Broadwindsor Primary School had a requirement for the installation of a MUGA on land which is being leased from Dorset County Council to Broadwindsor Parish Council.

The Parish Council had some concerns regarding corrosion rates as the build site is relatively close to the sea. These concerns were alleviated by providing a Zinc Millennium Map which indicated that the corrosion rate for the Broadwindsor School postcode was approximately 57 years (even without powder coating). This reinforced our assurances that a heavy duty installation would be good for 50+ years.

Steelway manufactured and supplied the following materials:

  • 2 no. closed off square back goals 3m wide x 2m high x 900mm deep complete with basketball unit, infill backboard and steel basket. Hoop at 2.60m
  • 94 lin.m. of 3m high heavy duty perimeter fencing with rounded corners
  • 2 no. pedestrian gates set into the fenceline
  • Edging plates
  • All galvanised and powder coated
