Latest government scheme offer discounts of up to £5,000 on software

The government is offering discounts of up to £5,000 as part of their Help to Grow: Digital scheme which has been designed to support smaller businesses in adopting digital technologies.

The digital scheme, now open for applications, will enable eligible businesses to receive discounts of up to £5,000 off the retail price of approved digital accounting and CRM software from leading technology suppliers. Businesses also have the possibility to access practical, specialised support and advice on determining the best digital technology to boost their growth and productivity.

As it currently stands there are three accounting software providers who have signed up to the scheme, these being: Intuit, Sage, and E-Crunch. The next step to the programme will include the scheme being extended to e-commerce software as well

The scheme will help small businesses to reduce costs, reach new customers, and scae time. It has been proven that businesses who adopt digital technologies can be up to 18% more productive.

Developing an understanding of the practical benefits of adopting digital software, and how to choses the correct products are some of the main barriers to a successful digital technology investment. 1 in 3 businesses also claim that cost is another main barrier.
